Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, has completed the financial close of a $225 million financing deal for the 300 MW Guzar Solar Power Project in Uzbekistan. Located in the Kashkadarya region, the project is equipped with a 75 MWh battery energy storage system. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide up to $195.5 million in financing, which includes contributions from Canada and Finland under the 'High-Impact Partnership on Climate Action' Special Fund and the Japan-EBRD Cooperation Fund. The Asian Development Bank has also provided $30 million in financing, including contributions from its funds.
