Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and Uzbekistan's GSC Ozinergosotish have signed an agreement on battery energy storage services. The agreement was signed as part of the development of the 'Zarafshan' project, which will become the country's largest independent battery energy storage system. The signing took place at the ADIPEC exhibition. The ceremony was attended by Suhail bin Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Jurabek Mirzamakhmedov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The 'Zeravshan' project represents the first phase of a national energy storage program.
